It is with great sadness that we heard the news of the death of our great friend and colleague, Lynne McGee. Lynne had been a member of our Music department for many years before retiring very recently due to ill health. Lynne fought an incredibly brave and dignified fight against cancer but passed away quietly on Wednesday 8 April. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lynne's family at this sad time.

Letter from Mrs Martin - Headteacher
As Head Teacher of Notre Dame High School, it is with great pleasure and privilege that I welcome you to our school website.
I have been quite overwhelmed by the welcome and support I have received from staff, pupils and parents alike since taking up my new post in August 2014. It confirms what I have always believed – we are a unique and special school with an outstanding heritage, steeped in the traditions of our foundress, St. Julie Billart and the work of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
A special welcome to our new First Year pupils and their families! The girls have settled into their new school quickly and are already very established members of the Notre Dame community.
I am surrounded and supported by an experienced and motivated team of staff who join me in their commitment to the school and your daughters’ education. Our girls deserve the very best education to ensure that they are ready, willing and able to move towards a positive future in education or employment. Each day, the staff and I work together to ensure that this objective is realised.
As parents, your role in this journey is critical. As our most important partner, I am committed to working with you to ensure that your hopes and aspirations for your daughters are achieved. I am keen to hear any ideas or views you might have for enhancing our provision. Please feel free to contact me at any point should you wish to discuss any matter.
